If you’re here, you probably already know that a fundraising event can be so much more than a nice evening out. It can be a turning point for a mission — a night that raises real money, deepens relationships, and gives an organization the confidence and momentum it needs to move forward. That’s exactly the space The Gala Co. was built to serve.
In this post, I want to share more about who I am behind The Gala Co., how I think about sponsorship, ROI, and systems, and what you can expect from me as a partner.
Who I Am Behind The Gala Co.
Hi, my name is Elise and I’m a Certified Special Events Professional (CSEP for short) based in Michigan, and my career has been shaped by years of producing nonprofit galas, golf outings, raffles, auctions, and wine-driven experiences. I think in timelines, checklists, and run-of-show documents, but I lead with how I want donors, sponsors, board members, and staff to feel from the moment they receive an invitation to the moment they walk out the door.
Most mornings start early with coffee and a review of procurement platforms and RFP listings, because for many of my clients, opportunities start long before the first save-the-date goes out. I’m entrepreneurial by nature, always looking for ways to turn what I’ve learned in the field into tools, frameworks, and strategies that make nonprofit events more sustainable, more strategic, and more successful.
What The Gala Co. Does
The Gala Co. exists to support nonprofits and organizations that are ready to treat their events like true revenue and relationship drivers, not just line items on a calendar. I specialize in fundraising experiences like:
- Galas and signature fundraising events
- Golf outings and on-course activations
- Auctions, raffles, and games of chance
- Wine-focused and tasting-style events
- Donor and sponsor appreciation gatherings
I step in as the architect behind these moments — designing the run-of-show, mapping guest flow, structuring sponsorships, aligning the program with your goals, and making sure the story of your mission shows up everywhere from the first touchpoint to the closing thank you.
Strategy First: Sponsorship, ROI, and Systems
One thing you should know about me: I am not satisfied with a vague “it went well” at the end of an event.
Through The Gala Co., I work as a strategic partner and educator, helping nonprofits, planners, and organizations think more clearly about:
- Sponsorship strategy and value.
- Event ROI and how you measure it.
- Systems and workflows that keep everyone aligned.
- The behind-the-scenes structure that actually supports a successful event.
I care deeply about metrics, impact, and repeatable processes. I want you to be able to look at your event afterward and clearly see what worked, what didn’t, and what you can confidently repeat or improve next time. My goal is to make future events easier, more profitable, less stressful, and far more intentional.
How I Approach Fundraising Events
When we work together, you’re not just hiring someone to “run your event.” You’re bringing in a partner who thinks like a producer, strategist, and steward of your relationships all at once.
I bring a production-minded approach to every project: emergency plans, backup options, and calm crisis management are built into how I operate. Behind the scenes, I’m building sponsorship landscapes, tracking tools, detailed timelines, and communication plans that keep your team, vendors, and volunteers moving in the same direction.
At the same time, I never forget that events are about people. Donors should feel seen, sponsors should feel genuinely valued, and staff and volunteers should feel supported, not burned out, by the time the night is over.
Why The Gala Co. Exists
The Gala Co. was created for organizations that know their mission deserves more than a generic ballroom experience. It’s for teams who want to:
- Raise more money without burning out their staff.
- Offer sponsors real, thoughtful value beyond logo placement.
- Create events that feel aligned with their brand and community.
- Build systems and templates that make the next event smoother.
At the core of everything I do is a simple belief: fundraising events should feel good for everyone involved…the guests, the sponsors, the board, the volunteers, and yes, the person (or team) running the show.
What You’ll See Here
On this blog, you can expect to see a mix of:
- Behind-the-scenes looks at how I structure galas and golf outings.
- Thoughts on sponsorship trends and opportunities.
- Practical ideas for increasing ROI and reducing event stress.
- Stories and reflections from the field that highlight what really works.
If you’re a nonprofit leader, development professional, planner, or board member who wants your events to be both joyful and strategic, you’re in the right place. This is the starting point. I’m excited to show you what’s possible when we build smarter, more intentional fundraising events together.
