What’s Coming Next Year from The Gala Co.

I love the feeling of a blank calendar. It’s a fresh chance to take everything we’ve learned, keep the parts that worked, and intentionally let go of what didn’t. As I look ahead to next year, I’m thinking about how The Gala Co. can support nonprofits and couples with resources that feel practical, generous, and deeply grounded in real-life event work.

Here’s a look at what I’m planning to build and share in the coming year.

Deeper Education Around Sponsorship And Event ROI

Sponsorship and ROI kept showing up as core themes in my client work this year. A lot of organizations are tired of guessing…tired of generic packages, fuzzy metrics, and “it went well” debriefs that don’t actually help them improve.

Next year, I’m leaning even further into:

  • Sponsorship education: how to audit assets, price thoughtfully, and have better conversations with partners.
  • Event ROI frameworks: simple ways to evaluate whether an event is truly doing what you need it to do.
  • Tools and templates: checklists, tracking sheets, and report outlines you can adapt to your own events.

If you’ve ever wished you had a more structured way to talk about event value with your board or leadership, that’s what these resources will be designed to support.

More Practical Content For Nonprofit Event Teams

The blog series we’ve mapped out, on donor journeys, timelines, volunteers, accessibility, formats, and year-round calendars, is just the starting point. I want this to become a library you can actually use when you’re in planning mode, not just something nice to skim once and forget.

You can expect:

  • Step-by-step breakdowns of specific event elements, like registration flow, program design, and on-site roles.
  • Scenario-based posts (for example: “What to do if you inherit an event with no documentation” or “How to simplify a gala that’s gotten too big”).
  • More content specifically aimed at staff who wear “events” as one bullet point in a very long job description.

My goal is to give you language, frameworks, and examples you can bring back to your team and say, “Here’s how we can make this easier and better.”

Expanding Auction And Revenue-Stream Education

Auctions were a big topic this year, and they’re not going away, but they are evolving. I’m planning to build out more around:

  • When auctions make sense and when they don’t.
  • How to evaluate your current auction structure and decide what to keep, change, or retire.
  • Alternative revenue elements (like fund‑a‑need/paddle raise structures, fixed‑price opportunities, and creative sponsorship activations) that complement or replace traditional auctions.

You’ll see this show up in both free content and deeper-dive tools under The Aisle Collection umbrella.

Building Out The Wedding Side Through The Aisle Agency

On the wedding side, I’m planning to share more about designing the full wedding journey—not just the ceremony and reception, but the orbit of events around them:

  • Engagement parties, showers, rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, and morning‑after gatherings.
  • How to keep the experience cohesive and true to the couple while navigating family expectations, logistics, and budget.
  • Ways to borrow some of the structure and systems from the nonprofit/event world to make wedding planning feel less chaotic.
